ESIC Nursing Officer — Frequently Asked Questions

When will ESIC Nursing Officer 2026 notification come?

It has not come yet — the UPSC Exam Calendar 2026 lists no ESIC Nursing Officer recruitment, and no advertisement has been issued as of 23 Oct 2026. The last cycle was Advt. 52/2024 (1,930 posts, exam 7 Jul 2024). Watch upsc.gov.in.

How many ESIC Nursing Officer vacancies were there last time?

Who conducts the ESIC Nursing Officer exam?

UPSC conducts the recruitment test for ESIC Nursing Officer posts; applications are filled on upsconline.nic.in when the advertisement opens.

What is the ESIC Nursing Officer exam pattern?

A single objective paper covering the nursing subject and a general section, as per the scheme published with the advertisement. Advt. 52/2024 does not print a total number of questions or marks — the "150 questions · 300 marks" figure on other sites is not from the advertisement.

ESIC Nursing Officer or AIIMS NORCET — which should I prepare for?

Both recruit staff nurses for central institutions. NORCET (AIIMS) runs twice a year and its next round is more predictable; ESIC recruitment depends on UPSC advertisements, which are irregular. Most nursing candidates prepare for both with the same syllabus base.
