RRB JE Photo & Signature Rules

Per Paras 14.4–14.5 of CEN 04/2026. There is no scanned-photograph upload — the photo is captured live.

Photograph
Live capture only — no photo upload
Dark (non-white) clothing, camera at eye level, straight look with a neutral expression, face centred; no cap, mask or glasses
Signature
JPG/JPEG · 30–49 KB
Running handwriting in black ink on white paper, centred in a 35 mm × 20 mm box, scanned at 100 DPI or more, minimum 140 × 60 px

Photographing a printed or digital photograph instead of your live face leads to rejection, and signatures in block/capital letters or with disjointed letters are not accepted. The only other upload is the SC/ST certificate (PDF, under 400 KB), and only if you claim a free travel pass. PwBD candidates unable to sign may upload a thumb impression instead.

Resize your signature to RRB size — free Private — your photo never leaves your phone
