COMEDK UGET Eligibility

For UG Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), per the COMEDK UGET 2026 brochure.

You must have passed Second PUC / 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects, plus Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as an optional subject — with at least 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State only). Every subject must be passed individually, and all subjects must be passed from one single board.

The test is open to candidates from all states — Karnataka classification matters only for the 40% lower eligibility for Karnataka SC/ST/OBC candidates and for Kalyana-Karnataka Region (371J) reserved seats. Diploma candidates are not eligible (no lateral entry). Candidates below 17 years as on 1 January 2026 had to submit the brochure's declaration at counselling.

  • 45% aggregate in PCM (40% for Karnataka SC/ST/OBC only)
  • All subjects passed from a single board
  • Open to all-India candidates — no Karnataka domicile needed for the test
  • No B.Arch test — architecture admission is via NATA / JEE scores in COMEDK counselling

COMEDK UGET Exam Pattern

One combined PCM test, computer-based, held all over India (200+ cities, 400+ centres in 2026). COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE E run the same day, same session, as one combined test for candidates who opt for both.

1 mark per correct answer and no negative marking; English only. The brochure's syllabus basis is CBSE — about 33% from the Class 11 syllabus and 67% from Class 12. The exam duration is not stated in the extractable text of the 2026 brochure, so it is not quoted here.
