AP EAPCET Eligibility
From the AP EAPCET-2026 Instruction Booklet.
You must be an Indian National, or a PIO / OCI card holder, belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh and satisfy the Local / Non-Local status requirements for 2026-27. For Engineering: pass the Intermediate Examination (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as options (or related vocational courses), conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, or a recognised equivalent — or pass the Diploma in Engineering of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, AP. You need at least 45% marks (40% for reserved-category candidates) in the specified subjects taken together. Candidates appearing in the final-year Intermediate/Diploma exam may also apply, but the rank is valid only if they pass.
Age: the booklet prescribes no age limit for the general B.E./B.Tech. course. Age limits apply only to specific courses — 17 years as on 31 Dec 2026 for Pharm.D, and 17–22 years (25 for SC/ST) for B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Tech. (Agr. Engg.), B.Tech. (FS & T) and B.Sc. (Agr. Engg).
- 85% of seats in each course are reserved for local candidates of Andhra Pradesh; 15% are unreserved (G.O.Ms.No. 20 dated 12-05-2025)
- Andhra Pradesh has two local areas — the Andhra University area and the Sri Venkateswara University area
- Local candidate, broadly: studied in the local area for at least 4 consecutive academic years ending with the qualifying-exam year (or resided there for that period); a 7-year rule applies as the fallback
- Qualifying marks in the test: 25% of the maximum marks considered for ranking; no minimum is prescribed for SC/ST candidates
AP EAPCET Exam Pattern
Online (CBT) only, two sessions a day (9 AM – 12 Noon and 2 – 5 PM). The question paper is in English and Telugu medium only.
