The Telangana engineering entrance is now officially called TG EAPCET — Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test. The council itself is now TGCHE (Telangana Council of Higher Education), and every official 2026 document uses the TG name; "TS EAMCET" and "TS EAPCET" are old names from previous cycles. The 2026 cycle is complete as an examination (web counselling ran from June to August 2026), and no 2027 notification had been published as of 23 Oct 2026. TG EAPCET Eligibility
For admission, from the official TGEAPCET-2026 counselling notification and TGCHE's B.E/B.Tech admission notification.
You must have qualified in TGEAPCET-2026 and secured 45% (for OC) and 40% (for others) in the group subjects of Intermediate or its equivalent examination. The candidate must be an Indian National, and must satisfy the local / unreserved status requirements in G.O.Ms.No. 15, Higher Education (TE) Department, dated 27-02-2025. Merely appearing for the test and obtaining a rank does not by itself entitle a candidate to admission.
Age: for Undergraduate Professional Courses in Engineering (including Technology) and Pharmacy, you should have completed 16 years of age as on 31 December 2026; for Pharm.D, 17 years as on 31 December 2026.
- 85% of seats in each course are reserved for local candidates of the O.U. Area (Osmania University area); 15% are unreserved
- Unreserved seats are open to: O.U.-Area local candidates; candidates (or a parent) resident in the State for 10 years; children of State/Central Government, PSU, local-body and university employees working in the State; and their spouses
- Non-local candidates claiming unreserved seats need a Mee Seva Residence Certificate (10-year residence) or an Employer Certificate, as applicable
- A 7-year Residence Certificate is required at verification if you had no institutionalised education

How to Apply for TG EAPCET
For the entrance test, apply on eapcet.tgche.ac.in when the 2027 notification opens, following the Information Booklet there. Counselling (the verified 2026 process, on tgeapcet.nic.in) ran as follows:
- 1Open tgeapcet.nic.in and click "Payment of Processing Fee" — register with the Registration Number on your hall ticket, your date of birth as in the SSC marks memo, and your Intermediate (or equivalent) hall ticket number.
- 2Fill the Basic Information Form (Aadhaar, mobile number, email; caste / income / EWS certificate details issued by MeeSeva, if applicable) and pay the processing fee online.
- 3Book a slot (Help Line Centre, date and time) and attend certificate verification in person with the documents listed above.
- 4Generate a password, log in (the Login ID is sent to your registered mobile number) and exercise web options in your order of priority.
- 5Download the provisional allotment order when allotted; pay the tuition fee shown and self-report online, then report physically at the allotted college in the phase prescribed.
Counselling processing fee (2026): ₹600 for SC/ST candidates and ₹1,200 for others — this is separate from the entrance application fee.
