MHT CET Photo Size — and the Signature Rule

The MHT-CET 2026 brochure prescribes a photograph specification only. Read both rows.

Photograph
2 in × 2 in (50 mm × 50 mm) · 100 KB – 5 MB
Colour, face covering 80% of the photo, plain light-coloured or white background, no shadows
Signature
Not prescribed in the Information Brochure
The brochure gives no signature size, KB range, format or background rule at all

The brochure also does not state a file format (JPG/PNG) or pixel dimensions for the photograph — only the physical size and the 100 KB – 5 MB file size. The free resizer below works in that KB band.

MHT CET — Frequently Asked Questions

Can I appear for both PCM and PCB groups in MHT CET?

Yes. The brochure gives the candidate the choice of appearing in any one group (PCM or PCB) or both. The option once exercised cannot be altered, marks are not transferred between groups, and a candidate appearing for both groups/attempts may be allotted different examination centres for each.

Is there any negative marking in MHT CET?

No. Both the PCM and PCB instructions in the brochure state "There is no Negative Marking."

Is there an age limit for MHT CET?

No. The brochure states: "There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT-CET 2026."

What is the minimum Class 12 score for B.E./B.Tech admission through MHT CET?

At least 45% in the specified subjects taken together (Physics and Mathematics compulsory, plus one listed optional subject), reduced to at least 40% for Reserved categories, EWS and PwD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only — plus a non-zero score in PCM MHT-CET 2026.

I am from outside Maharashtra. Can I still get admission?

Yes, under All India Candidature: you may appear in MHT-CET, but for B.E./B.Tech a non-zero positive JEE (Main) 2026 score is preferred over the MHT-CET score. You pay the General-category fee of ₹1,300 per group/attempt; the ₹1,000 reserved fee applies only to Maharashtra State candidates.

If I take both attempts of MHT CET, which score counts?

The best of the two percentile scores — total score only, not subject-wise — is considered for admission. Percentile scores of Physics or Chemistry are not interchanged between groups.

In which languages can I take the MHT CET paper?

Physics, Chemistry and Biology are set in English / Marathi / Urdu, and you must choose the medium in the application form — the choice cannot be changed. If there is any doubt about a translated question, the English version is treated as final.

Is the MHT CET application fee refundable if I make a mistake?

No. The brochure states the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances; if a mistake is made, the candidate is advised to fill a new application form using an alternate mobile number and email ID.
